The rise of Tinder was soon followed by Bumble in 2014. Bumble introduced a feminist twist to online dating by allowing only women to initiate conversations in heterosexual matches. This empowerment USP aimed to create a safer and more respectful environment for women, distinguishing it from other dating platforms.

Pure, another prominent kink app, emphasises anonymity and spontaneity. Launched in 2013, Pure operates on a short-term basis—profiles self-destruct after one hour. This ephemeral approach encourages users to act on their desires in the moment, making it ideal for those seeking immediate, no-strings-attached encounters. Pure's USP lies in its focus on casual, discreet connections, eliminating the pressure of prolonged interactions.

WAX (WeAreX), a newer entrant in the kink app arena, caters specifically to the BDSM community. It offers a dedicated platform for individuals interested in bondage, discipline, dominance, submission, and sadomasochism.
